Lexi's Letter

Dear rich King Markadron and confusing Lord Pax,


Here's the update on what's going on. My team and I were walking through the forest to get to the Woodword tree, I took a deep breathe smelling pine and fresh air. I listened to the crunch of leaves underfoot, the chatter of squirrels and the sound of a river in the distance. When we got there to the Woodword tree my team mate Darkstalker walked up and said in a clear confident voice he said: Death, Scary, Lonely, Giving, Taking, Terrifying, you took from me, Darkness. The tree stood there and let him pass, then Midnight walked up confidently and said her foxes following without hesitation.


Midnight said, "Wind, Free, Fast, Flying, Feeling, Moving, you make us cold, Breeze."


The tree stood there in eerie silence letting Midnight and her foxes pass. Pixie Dust flew up near the tree and said confidently, "Walnuts, Shells, Round, Cracking, Smashing, Eating, You make me hungry, Yummy!"


A branch flew out of nowhere and smacked Pixie Dust back a few feet, I looked worriedly at Pixie Dust but she staggered up unharmed and cautiously approached the tree as if it might bite (actually it might).


She stammered, "Sun, Bright, Light, Warming, Dazzling, Beaming, Shining light on me, Beautiful."


We stood in silence for a moment but the tree didn't move, Pixie Dust rushed forward hurriedly. I strood confidently forward and signed to the tree in sign language, "Unknowing, Fearful, Unrecognized, Confusing, Terrifying, Striking, I'm so under prepared, Missing."


I was afraid the tree didn't understand me but it stood there and I passed. I watched from the other side as Cynda Chikka took a few steps forward his tail moving from side to side his wings fluttering slightly, he said in a deep voice, "Dragon, Shiny, Scales, Fast, Flying, Swooping, You are super glorious, Beast."


His voice rang through the forest and he strode proudly forward. We turned to the Woodword tree and asked in poem which way to go and the tree said North-east.


Darkstalker took to the skies to look out for others, Pixie Dust followed, Cynda Chikka disappeared but I bet he was following. I walked with Midnight through the dense forests and after a few minutes Darkstalker and Pixie Dust flew down and a knight came staggering out of the woods of the the left of the path looking like he had gone through a shredder (if you can't imagine it good its NOT pretty). The knight had an orange piece of fabric so he must have been from the orange team, he grabbed his sword and pointed it at us really your out numbered man I signed.


The knight glared at me, Darkstalker lunged trying to grab him, the knight ducked and slashed at Darkstalker. I moved in front of Darkstalker and and held up my hands like stop, I signed hey knight we are not trying to attack you D-A-R-K-S-T-A-L-K-E-R just likes grabbing people. He seemed to understand my sign language and said “I'm trying to get back to the village my team fell into a trap except me” so we told him how to get back.


We walked for a few hours then suddenly we fell into a trapdoor my heart hammered against my chest and then the trapdoor closed leaving us in darkness and leaving me with only my sense of hearing. Darkstalker breathed fire straight up so we could see we were in a serpa pit, Darkstalker took my rope in his talons and flew up carrying me and Midnight but the rope slipped and we fell OH NO! Darkstalker tried melting the trapdoor put it was covered in strong magic I climbed up the dirt wall to see if I could see anything I climbed onto a ledge and dropped down a rope for everyone to get up.


I hope the reward is good because its only been a day and we've already been through a lot.
